Right on. Liked and Restacked.

Like you, I've been in various percentiles in the 'Net Worth' category: from 'independently wealthy' to times I was six-figures in debt and had to use a gas station credit card to feed my kids, or they'd go hungry. My birth family went through a similar up-and-down progression/regression.

Ultimately, I raised two grown men (which is estimated to be a $0.5MM proposition in the US, by itself right there) and we are all doing fine. If this is Life the board game, my family and I are all in the car in the center of the Board.

But scooting up and down the economic ladder (multiple times) in my life has shown me the actions of people are largely/mostly based on socioeconomic circumstance. In short: pretty much all self-perceived poor and uneducated people, gripped within a sense of nihilism, act the same.

That's what we're seeing now in the US.
